Just like New York for the USA, Mumbai is India’s city that never sleeps. In fact, it parties and dances all the way till dawn. Mumbai’s nightlife is something that any tourist shouldn’t miss. Especially given the fact that Mumbai is considered one of the safest cities for female tourists in India.

But of course, Mumbai’s terrible traffic and tourist unfriendly public transport can be a big spoil sport. However, the solution is as simple as staying close to the most happening nightlife areas of the city.

Here are some best areas to stay in Mumbai for nightlife.

Bandra West

From Pali Hill to Bandstand to Linking Road, all the way upto Khar, Bandra West is where nightlife of Mumbai comes alive. Grand Residency is right at the centre of Bandra and Taj Lands End is next to the sea and very close to Bandstand where stars like Sharukh Khan and Salman Khan live.

Juhu

Not very far from Bandra, Juhu is probable the place with maximum parties. Thanks to the presence of Bollywood stars in the area. If you know nothing about Mumbai, just come and stay in Juhu. You won’t regret. There are a lot of hotels in and around Juhu. JW Marriott (we have heard that Priyanka Chopra likes to party here), Novotel, Bawa Continental and Sun N Sand are some of the popular ones.

Colaba

The original party area of South Mumbai. It’s a different nightlife that you got to experience once. Bar hopping, rolls street-side, stroll near Gateway of India and some street shopping. You can stay at Taj Vivanta or Taj Mahal Tower (expensive but closer). Little away but another good hotel in the area is Intercontinental Marine Drive.

Lower Parel

Lower Parel is an upcoming party place. Worli, another popular area, is close-by. St Regis is right in the middle of the action. Avoid anything at Kamala Mills Area. It has some major fire safety issues.
