Top Spa Chains in India

Not all massages are good. Because not all therapists are good. Because not all spas are good. Don’t get me wrong. I love spas and don’t mind an occasional bummer. However, in my experience, looking for reviews or sticking to one of the top spa chains really helps. Especially if you are in a new city and don’t have your favourite therapist around.

Here are our favourite top spa chains in India.

1. Jiva Spa

Jiva Spa by Taj Hotels is probably one of the best spa chains in India. It’s well designed and unlike some other spa chains, not that expensive (it’s still not cheap by any measure). Variety of treatments, meditations, yoga, beauty services, day experiences and Taj hospitality makes it a no-brainer. Don’t forget to take an appointment in advance though.

2. O2 Spa

O2 Spas is available in 24 cities as of now, including several airports. It’s a good spa with interesting packages that you can use.

3. Four Fountains Spa

Four Fountains De-stress Spas is another chain with multi city presence. However, it’s no where close to as big as O2. What makes this work is their simple and useful membership plans. I like their weekdays plan where you can get 50% off at any centre across India on any weekday. Weekend plans are exepensive and not worth unless you absolutely need a weekend option.

4. The Thai Spa

The Thai Spa is present in 12 cities across India. They offer a great range of treatments including some uncommon ones like four hands massage, ear spa, pregnancy massage, deodorant and anti-irritation foot spa etc. Though I am yet to try it, this seems to be an interesting spa chain.

5. Aroma Thai Day Spa

Aroma Thai Spa claims to be the original Thai Spa. And they talk more about traditional spa techniques as their differentiator. Most Thai spas seem to offer similar therapies though.

6. Serene Spa

Serene Spa doesn’t have too many branches. They are more into quality than quantity it seems. They also have a presence in Seychelles, Singapore, Maldives and Spain. If you like their services, have a look at their interesting multi-day spa packages.
