3 day Itinerary of Lakshadweep

Sometimes the hectic city life really gets to you; and a quick weekend getaway to the nearest hill station just doesn’t seem enough. For days like these, you can plan a quick trip to the gorgeous land of the Lakshadweep islands. Don’t think it’s possible? Well it’s a lot easier that you may think. You really can enjoy an amazing and quick weekend trip to Lakshadweep and still take in everything that it has to offer. Here is the kind of itinerary you can plan for a 3 day getaway.

Day 1:
Head to Kochi or Bangalore and there you can take a connecting flight to the island of Agatti. Upon arrival at Agatti, you can head to the beach resort and relax for a while. The first thing to enjoy when you land on the island is a refreshing drink of coconut water. Sit on the hammock with the wind in your hair and sip the fresh coconut water to start off your holiday.

In the afternoon, you can head to the Golden Jubilee museum which is a major attraction and the only museum in Lakshadweep. There is plenty to see here from traditional sail boats, to antique objects which hold great importance in the history of Lakshadweep. In the evening, there are plenty of beach activities to indulge in such as bonfires, cultural nights with the locals etc.

Day 2:
After a good night’s rest in the beach resort, day 2 can be full of adventurous and fun water sports and activities. You can take a glass bottom boat ride, go snorkelling in the shallow waters or head out to the deep sea for a scuba dive if you seek the thrill of experiencing underwater life. The island of Bangaram is just a boat ride away and can be visited if you want to explore another private resort. Here you can enjoy some sumptuous sea food and enjoy a late night walk on the beach with the waves and beautiful turtles for company.
